Product Details
Pipe thread sealant is used to seal male to female pipe threads. The leak detection solution is applied (poured) on the joints of a gas installation to detect unsafe seals in the component-to-component connections (shut-off valve to adapter to gas connector and gas connector to adapter to appliance regulator). Bubbles in the solution will indicate a leak. The pipe thread sealant is preferred over gas PTFE tape because of its fluidity - it seals up the crevices of the Male to Female thread engagement and provides a better seal. The leak detection solution does not contain soap or detergents, eliminating a false reading.Item Specifications
